The ClubSport model was originally introduced by Holden Special Vehicles, better known as HSV, in the VN Range, back in 1990.
It was an instant success and continued for 27 years all the way until its pinnacle in the Gen-F models, ending in 2017.
By this stage it was of International Pedigree, running the award winning Zeta Platform and Monstrous Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine, with a huge 6.2 litre capacity.
The final version being the Gen-F2 R8 even ran a factory Supercharger under the LSA Engine code, after HSV noticed that enthusiasts were adding Chargers to their already wild HSV’s.

The HSV Gen-F Clubsport R8 that we display today, is definitely one of those “Wild HSV’s” with the added Supercharger, as mentioned earlier.
However the Supercharger chosen was not just any aftermarket blower, it was decided to go with the Racing brand which develops High Performance Race Cars with Holden and HSV,
being Walkinshaw Performance. Once this was decided the next choice was which package to go for. The Insane W547 was the final decision at $26,000 and is not for the faint hearted.

Although still perfectly drivable as an everyday vehicle, the power upgrade provides you with 898Nm of torque and 547kw of power when you decide that its fun time!
Apart from aggressive new idol, the car still performs exactly how HSV intended it to.

This Gen-F HSV ClubSport R8 itself is a one owner vehicle which has travelled just 58,000km’s in 13 years and has a full service history.
It was ordered in the Ultimate & Tuffest Muscle Car Colour Combo, being Black on Black. It was also ordered with a sunroof and upgraded Forged SV racing wheels through Ferntree Gully Holden.

The Walkinshaw Performance package was added at 45,000km in 2016 and the R8 has not had much use since then, apart from a few good family road trips.
The Clubby recently had new HSV brake rotors & pads fitted and was ceramic coated too.
It was then put into hibernation for a few years, where it rarely got driven, which is the reasoning behind the hard decision to offer the vehicle for sale for the first time since new.

The car is in Immaculate Condition, has a clean title, has never been damaged or required Mechanical repair, apart from general servicing.
The R8W547 number plates will be included in the sale to Victorian buyers, along with Reg & RWC.
